The Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru (Persatuan Penjagaan Kanak Kanak Terencat Akal Johor Bahru (PPKKTAJ)) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting the care and development of children with disabilities. Since its inception in 1990, PPKKTAJ has provided essential daily living care, healthcare, therapy, and specialised programs tailored to these children with special needs, ensuring they are safe and cared for.
The NGO, which operates from a purpose-built facility on a 1.8ha plot in Saleng, Johor, is home to 175 children and adults with various physical and/or mental disabilities. A team of over 40 staff and volunteers who exemplify the home’s slogan “Help the Helpless" provide dedicated care.
