The Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru (PPKKTAJ) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to supporting the care and development of children with disabilities. Since its inception, PPKKTAJ has provided essential healthcare, therapy, and specialised programs tailored to empower children with unique needs, ensuring they can lead more fulfilling lives.
The NGO, which operates from a purpose-built facility on a 1.8ha plot in Saleng, Johor, is home to 175 children and adults with various physical and/or mental disabilities. A team of over 40 staff and volunteers who exemplify the home’s slogan “Help the Helpless" provide dedicated care. Beyond caregiving, the organisation also advocates for inclusivity and awareness in society.
