Growing up in the serene landscapes of Terengganu, a coastal jewel nestled in the East Coast of Malaysia, I witnessed the real struggles faced by our community. Life was both challenging and beautiful, and this duality shaped my perspective. It was in the midst of these struggles that the seed of compassion was sown in my heart.
The spirit of giving and helping others has always been a cornerstone of my life. It was passed down through generations, from my family who taught me the values of empathy and kindness, to the friends who stood by my side through thick and thin. In these moments, I realised that the power to make a difference lies within each of us.
However, as I ventured into the world of charitable work, I noticed a missing link – a transformative approach that could bridge the gap between the desire to help and the means to do so. I was determined to build a platform that would empower charities, inspire individuals, and reward them in the most profound way. But what made it personal for me was knowing that the struggles of my community in Terengganu mirrored the struggles faced by countless others across the globe.
Our mission at Royong is to provide a platform that goes beyond just raising awareness and incentivising contributions. We want to make charity a heartwarming experience that brings people together, for in the act of giving, we discover our shared humanity
